PIAA Legislative Oversight Committee to Hold Hearing on Public, Private Sports

WHAT: Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks), chairman of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Legislative Oversight Committee, will hold a public hearing on separate championships, boundary and non-boundary schools, and classification of sports.

WHO: DiGirolamo and other committee members, including Reps. Mike Reese (R-Westmoreland) and Robert F. Matzie (D-Beaver) and Sens. Scott Martin (R-Lancaster) and Jay Costa (D-Allegheny). Those offering testimony will be representatives from the PIAA; school district superintendents, William Hall of Millcreek Township, Leonard Rich of Laurel and Stuart Albaugh of Harmony Area; and Mike Bariski, athletic director, Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School.

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 5, 10 a.m.
