: The House State Government Committee will hold two hearings on public pension system trends and policy considerations this week. Led by the Subcommittee on Public Pensions, Benefits, and Risk Management, the hearings will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at the state Capitol. The hearings are intended to inform legislators and the public of what is happening in Pennsylvania’s public pension systems, analyze the best practices used in the nation, and discuss options for improving the overall performance of Pennsylvania’s systems. The Subcommittee is led by Rep. Brett R. Miller (R-Lancaster).
: House State Government Committee Chairman Seth Grove (R-York) and Subcommittee Chairman Miller will be joined by members of the committee, state officials, as well as experts and stakeholders for organizations including the National Association of State Retirement Administrators, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the American Enterprise Institute, the Boston College Center for Retirement Research, and others.
: Wednesday, Aug. 18 and Thursday, Aug. 19. Hearings will begin each day at 10 a.m.
