HARRISBURG – Rep. Mauree Gingrich (R-Lebanon) was sworn into office this week to begin her seventh term representing the citizens of the 101st Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
HARRISBURG –During the swearing-in ceremony of the Pennsylvania General Assembly held today at the state Capitol, Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom) was sworn into his fifth term of office as state representative of the 100th Legislative District.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Stephen E. Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware) took the oath of office today to begin his 10th term representing the people of the 160th District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Tim Hennessey (R-Chester/Montgomery) today took the oath of office to begin the 2015-16 session of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, and announced he will continue to serve as majority chairman of the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee.
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) today in Harrisburg took the oath of office to serve the residents of the 171st Legislative District during a new two-year term.
HARRISBURG – In addition to being sworn in to his seventh term in service to the 47th Legislative District on Tuesday, state Rep. Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam) was officially appointed majority chairman of the House Game and Fisheries Committee for the 2015-16 session.
HARRISBURG – The 2015-16 session of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives opened today, as Majority Leader Dave Reed (R-Indiana) was sworn into his seventh term in office. Reed will oversee a Republican majority which stands at 119-83, the largest majority since the 1957-58 session. Rep. Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) was elected Speaker by the members of the House.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Dave Hickernell (R-Lancaster/Dauphin) today was sworn into his seventh term as the representative for the 98th Legislative District. Due to his seniority in the state House of Representatives, Hickernell was also appointed to serve as the majority chairman of the House Tourism and Recreational Development Committee for the 2015-16 session.
HARRISBURG – Building on the work from the last legislative session, Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks) has been appointed to continue his service as chairman of the House Human Services Committee for the new 2015-16 session, which kicks off today with swearing-in ceremonies.
HARRISBURG – In her ongoing efforts to help protect the Commonwealth’s children, Rep. Kathy Watson (R-Bucks/144th) will continue to lead the House Children and Youth Committee for the 2015-16 legislative session, after an appointment by Speaker-Designate of the House Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny).
HARRISBURG – The House Majority Policy Committee announced this week that Rep. Mike Tobash (R-Schuylkill/Dauphin) will serve as a deputy policy chair for the committee during the 2015-16 legislative session.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Kate Harper (R-Montgomery) has been appointed to serve a second term as chairman of the House Local Government Committee during the 2015-16 legislative session.

HARRISBURG – Working to ensure that the state’s insurance laws are fairly protecting consumers, Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) has been again selected to serve as chairman of the House Insurance Committee, a position she held for a majority of the previous legislative session.
