James Votes for Budget Bill Headed to Governor’s Desk
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Buter) today in Harrisburg voted for a budget bill approved by the state House that would finish the Commonwealth’s 2015-16 spending plan by releasing funding for schools, agriculture programs and other state services. James issued the following statement after the vote:
“I hope the governor will swiftly sign this bill into law to avoid the potential need for some schools in Pennsylvania to soon close their doors.
“Students, farmers and other Pennsylvanians who rely on state government programs and services have been waiting for this funding to be released.
“Governor Wolf promised Pennsylvanians a government that works and schools that teach. Both of those require him to sign this budget bill into law.”
