Members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives voted on a measure to override Gov. Wolf's emergency declaration.

The measure needed a two-thirds majority (135 votes) to override the veto. 118 'yes' votes were cast so the measure to override the veto did not pass.

The governor's veto is sustained.

Here's a link to the roll call of votes. Every Republican House member voted 'yes' to override the veto.

The General Assembly has been ready and focused on working with Gov. Wolf to solve the problems created by the pandemic and address the recoveries to come; unfortunately, the governor has chosen to rule by dictate during this health emergency. The people of Pennsylvania must be heard - that can best happen through the actions of their locally-elected Legislators as they work on these problems and provide solutions that are not guided by one individual standing alone.

Here is footage of a Capitol press event with the PA House Republican leaders to announce the reasoning for the attempt to override the veto.
