HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 1108, which would distribute approximately $2.6 billion in federal relief funds throughout Pennsylvania’s counties as well as across various state government departments. Of that total, $625 million is allocated to 60 Pennsylvania counties who have not yet received funds directly from the federal government. Rep. David Millard (R-Columbia) announced that, based on population, Columbia County would receive $5,866,824 in appropriated funds.

The $25.8 billion spending plan, which would fully fund basic and higher education for the 2020-21 school year and necessary health and human services programs, was passed by the Senate today and sent to the governor’s desk.

Frank Ryan (R-Lebanon) voted Tuesday in favor of a short-term state budget bill that will fund the Commonwealth into November, allowing lawmakers time to assess the fiscal realities of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting statewide shutdown.
