HARRISBURG – Several Northumberland County elected officials today sent a letter to the governor advocating the transitioning of Northumberland County to the green phase of the governor’s three-phase reopening plan. State Reps. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) and Kurt Masser (R-Northumberland/Columbia/Montour); Sen. John Gordner (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Montour/Northumberland/Snyder) and Northumberland County Commissioners Samuel Schiccatano, Joseph Klebon and Kymberly Best are signatories on the letter.

This legislationwould establish a grant program to provide funding for long-term care facilities in Pennsylvania so they can acquire personal protective equipment to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
