Rigby Offers Veteran Outreach Hours on April 16 in Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN – Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) will be offering veterans affairs outreach hours in his district office at 1340 Franklin St. in Johnstown on Tuesday, April 16, from 2-4:30 p.m. An accredited field service officer from the American Legion Department of Pennsylvania will be available to assist veterans with a variety of issues.

Mizgorski Hosts A Seniors for Safe Driving Refresher Course

Rigby to Host Conversation about Eradicating PA’s Opioid Epidemic

Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) is hosting Jason Ronczka, vice president of operations for One Health Solutions, and members of the Executive Leadership Team to discuss a way to eradicate the opioid epidemic. One Health Solutions purchased Cambria Rowe Business College for its flagship location and will be investing millions of dollars in renovations. In addition to providing a solution to people fighting opioid abuse that could be court-ordered or voluntary, One Health Solutions will bring 100 jobs to Cambria County in the next three to five years.

Ecker, Schemel Introduce Bills Aimed at Increasing Transparency for Lawsuits Challenging State Law

HARRISBURG – Legislation sponsored by Rep. Torren Ecker (R-Adams/Cumberland) and Rep. Paul Schemel (R-Franklin) to require that the General Assembly receive notification of cases challenging state statutes has been formally introduced. Currently, the Attorney General is the sole receiver of formal notice of lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of a state statute. The legislation also expands current law to allow either the House of Representatives or the Senate, or both, to choose to participate as parties in such lawsuits.
