Gleim’s Newville Satellite Office Open for Business

NEWVILLE – Rep. Barb Gleim’s (R-Cumberland) Newville satellite office will be open Tuesday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office is located in the Newville Borough Municipal Building and will also serve as a point of contact for constituents of Sen. Judy Ward’s 30th Senate District.

WHAT: The House Human Services Committee, chaired by Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks), will hold a public hearing on House Bills 424 and 596, sponsored by Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon). The bills would create a bed registry and a warm hand-off for addiction treatment. The Blue Guardian program from Lehigh County, which was the inspiration for the warm hand-off legislation, will make a presentation.

Tom Mehaffie (R-Dauphin), concerned workers, advocates and business leaders will join together to unveil legislation to recognize nuclear energy for its significant contribution to the state’s zero-carbon energy production. Grove Issues Statement on Wolf Administration’s PLA Appeal Withdraw

YORK – House Government Oversight Committee Chairman Seth Grove (R-Dover) issued the following statement in response to the decision by Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration to withdraw an appeal over a project labor agreement (PLA), which was before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. A PLA is a collective bargaining agreement with one or more labor organizations to establish terms and conditions of employment for a certain construction project.

Workforce Development Takes Center Stage
