HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence) today announced the approval of a $1.12 million grant from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to the Butler County Conservation District aimed at improving local agricultural practices and environmental sustainability. The funding will support the construction of essential facilities designed to consolidate heifers into a single location while enhancing waste management processes at Four Seasons Dairy Farm.

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana), who serves as the House Republican representative on the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) board, announced today 33 projects approved by the board providing $216 million in financial assistance across the Commonwealth for drinking water, wastewater, stormwater and non-point source projects. Of that, $145 million is provided in the form of low-interest loans to municipal authorities, the other $71 million in the form of grants.

WHAT: Rep. Jason Ortitay (R-Allegheny/Washington) will lead a bridge dedication and sign unveiling ceremony naming a bridge carrying the Southern Beltway over State Route 980 in Cecil Township in honor of Terry D. Tackett Jr. He rendered aid to a woman in downtown Pittsburgh who was critically injured when a vehicle ran into the side of the Allegheny County Building several years ago. In October 2022, Tackett died in a vehicular accident. Ortitay amended the bridge naming into Act 63 of 2024.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Eric Davanzo (R-Westmoreland) today announced the Sewickley Township Library has been awarded a Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority (PBDA) grant that will be used to establish a new facility. In February of 2023, the library was forced to move to a much smaller building, requiring the library to put two-thirds of its printed materials into storage.
