HARRISBURG – A bill introduced by Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) unanimously passed the House on Wednesday. The bill would authorize the state attorney general to enter into reciprocal agreements with other states allowing active duty military fishing and hunting licenses to be recognized as resident licenses in any state participating in such an agreement.
The bill aims to encourage other states to enter into reciprocal agreements expanding hunting and fishing opportunities for active-duty military personnel.
“
House Bill 1153 would provide cost savings to our valued active duty military hunters and anglers and would potentially attract visitors to the Commonwealth – boosting Pennsylvania’s economy,” said Boback.
The bill is now with the Senate for consideration.
