WHAT: Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will hold a committee meeting to vote on three pieces of legislation:

House Bill 697 would provide a property tax exemption for the surviving spouse of a soldier who is killed in action or died as a result of injury during active military service.
House Bill 980 would provide for the exclusion of monetary veterans benefits as income in regard to income thresholds for various state benefit programs.
Senate Bill 137 would codify the oversight of the Pennsylvania Civil Air Patrol under the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
