WHAT: Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will hold a committee meeting to vote on three pieces of legislation:
  • House Resolution 222 would implore Congress to pass legislation to allow concurrent receipt of both military and Veterans Affairs pensions.

  • House Bill 699 would increase the medical assistance rates for both advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) ambulance services. ALS would increase from $200 to $300, and BLS would increase from $120 to $180.

  • House Bill 984 would extend the sunset date for the Military Family Relief Fund income tax check-off.
