WHAT: The House Game and Fisheries Committee, chaired by state Rep. Keith Gillespie (R-York), will meet to vote legislation that would give both the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) the authority to increase the cost of hunting and fishing licenses in Pennsylvania. Both commissions have expressed a need to raise the price of licenses.
The bills to be considered are Senate Bill 30, which would authorize the PFBC to set license fees, and Senate Bill 192, which would do likewise for the PGC. Both pieces of legislation passed the Senate overwhelmingly last month.
