HARRISBURG - House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) issued the following statement regarding leave policies for House employees:
“After conducting an extensive review of our benefit policies, as well as those offered by other employers in both the private and public sector, I support instituting a paid maternity leave policy for House employees.
“In addition, we recommend that we institute reforms to other aspects of our benefit policies to make them more consistent with what other employers have done.”
