HARRISBURG – Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) today issued the following statement after the House voted 114-84 to pass House Bill 218, the 2017-18 budget bill:

β€œThe passage of a budget bill in early April is a sign of substantial progress – and is very important to ensuring our budget process is transparent. This budget cuts spending without sacrificing investments in education and human services. I believe tackling the budget earlier this year will allow us to streamline state spending in a responsible and fair manner.”
