HARRISBURG – Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Butler) today issued the following statement after voting for the state budget bill approved by the House that now heads to the state Senate:
“We approved today a budget that would fund various state programs and services without raising taxes and increasing the burden on Pennsylvania taxpayers.
“I was especially pleased to see this budget would allocate additional dollars for local schools and the state-owned universities. Our schools and universities are producing the workforce of tomorrow and I am committed to supporting them.
“I will continue to work with my colleagues in the Legislature and the governor to move forward on issues where we can find common ground.”
