HARRISBURG – State Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) today issued the following statement after voting for the state budget approved by the state House:
“This budget would control spending while providing essential funding for state programs and services.
“For too long, state government decided how much it wanted to spend and then figured out how it would raise the money. Continuing to spend more than we have would be both unsustainable and irresponsible. This budget would bring spending in line with anticipated revenues in an effort to protect taxpayers.
“This budget represents a fiscally responsible approach to meeting the Commonwealth’s needs without further burdening its taxpayers.”
