HARRISBURG – Rep. Michael Corr (R-Montgomery) today issued the following statement after voting for the state budget bill approved by the House and sent to the Senate for consideration:
“I am pleased the House took this action in April in an effort to avoid the long, drawn-out state budget battle Pennsylvanians saw a few years ago.
“This budget is a good first step in our march toward greater fiscal responsibility and more efficient government. It would cut spending, hold the line on taxes, and provide more money for education and human services.
“I’m encouraged we are starting this process relatively early by sending this budget bill to the Senate for its consideration. I’m committed to working with my colleagues in both the House and the Senate to deliver a balanced budget that meets the needs of Pennsylvanians.”
