HARRISBURG – Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) today issued the following statement after the House voted 114-84 to pass House Bill 218, the 2017-18 budget bill:
“I am enthused by the recognition that we must pass a budget that is realistic and begins to place the Commonwealth on the right track. Our goal and focus is to present a budget that is on-time, spends less than last year and begins to chip away at the unfunded liability that weighs on this Commonwealth in a major way. My constituents sent me here to govern responsibly and work toward placing Pennsylvania in a position that allows our state to grow and prosper for generations to come, and my vote in support of this budget is consistent with the values held by residents of the 111th District.”
