WHAT: Lawmakers from across the state will travel to Monroe County to hear from emergency responders, local government officials and utility companies about frequent power outages, storm response and electric infrastructure concerns.
Testifiers will discuss the serious implications of these outages and what can be done to better prepare and improve the reliability of Pennsylvania’s electrical infrastructure. The hearing will be hosted by Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) and led by House Majority Policy Committee Chairman Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin).

Testifiers will include: Chris Barrett, Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau; Supervisor Chuck Gould, Chestnuthill Township; Chief Christopher Wagner
Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department; Mike Wisniewski, Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company; Vice Chairman Andrew Place, Public Utility Commission; Dave Cooper, Met-Ed; and Dave Quier, PPL.
