HARRISBURG – Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, today expressed cautious optimism after listening to Gov. Tom Wolf’s 2017-18 budget address. She issued the following statement in response:

“This budget proposal by the governor was fair in approach. He has started to think outside the box. It was a good first step.

“I think everyone can agree we have exhausted the easy answers. We can’t go back to the same old, same old. I’m happy all sides seem to agree that everything needs to be on the table. As we work to restart Pennsylvania, we welcome any suggestions.

“While I do not agree with everything the governor proposed, that's where the debate begins, and I look forward to working through that during the House Appropriations Committee hearings. I’m hopeful the final budget will grow the Commonwealth’s economy, create jobs and also restructure government for the next generation.”
