HARRISBURG – State Rep. Barry Jozwiak (R-Berks) today issued the following statement after Gov. Tom Wolf outlined his spending proposal when he delivered his annual budget address to the state House and Senate:
“I plan to look into the details of the governor’s proposal and learn more about the specific policies he outlined today.
“I believe Pennsylvania must address the unjust system of funding local schools through property taxes. The complete elimination of school district property taxes remains one of my top legislative priorities.
“I’ll continue to work with my colleagues to cut the cost of state government to save taxpayers money. State government needs to look for lower-cost ways to deliver programs and services. I’m committed to working with my colleagues to deliver a state budget that respects the taxpayers of Pennsylvania.”
