HARRISBURG – House Majority Leader Dave Reed (R-Indiana) issued the following statement regarding the passing of Rep. Florindo “Flo” Fabrizio (D-Erie). Fabrizio,73, died today after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. He served as state representative of the 2nd Legislative District for 16 years.

“Rep. Fabrizio was a true gentleman who always conducted himself with class in his dealings with fellow legislators, Democrats and Republicans alike. He represented the people of his beloved community with distinction and always provided exemplary constituent service to those who needed help with a problem, be it large or small.

“Most recently, Flo served as minority chairman of the House Health Committee, where he advanced legislation benefiting all Pennsylvanians. Despite his serious illness, he continued traveling to Harrisburg as long as he could to do the ‘people’s business’ because he thought the work was important.

“Flo Fabrizio was a good representative and a better man. The House will miss him. Our thoughts are with his wife, Victoria; his daughter, Jill; and his stepsons, Anthony and Matthew, during this difficult time.”
