HARRISBURG – Rep. Todd Polinchock (R-Bucks) today along with two House colleagues, escorted Gov. Tom Wolf to the House of Representatives to deliver his budget address for the 2020-21 fiscal year.

“I had the honor today of escorting Gov. Tom Wolf to the House where he made his annual budget address. While the governor proposed many new spending priorities, as legislators we must make sure we are spending money efficiently while protecting taxpayers from unnecessary tax hikes. Know that this is only the first step. We have weeks of budget hearings ahead and a final debate in June,” said Polinchock.

House of Representatives Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) selected Polinchock as one of three to escort the governor into the House chamber to deliver his budget address. Polinchock was joined in the committee by Reps. Lori Mizgorski (R-Allegheny) and Bridget Kosierowski (D-Lackawanna).

The House and Senate convened in a joint session of the General Assembly today at 11:30 a.m. to hear Gov. Tom Wolf outline his spending proposal for the 2020-21 fiscal year.
