HARRISBURG – House Appropriations Committee Chairman Stan Saylor issued the following statement in response to the governor’s decision to close off the business exemption waiver program.
“The decision by DCED to close the Business Exemption Waiver program is wrongheaded and will only worsen the problem we face. This approach is going to cause more panic and uncertainty for thousands of Pennsylvania citizens. If the problem is a lack of staff at DCED, the House Republican Caucus would gladly pitch in and lend our staff to help process more waiver applications. This is a bad idea by the governor.”
