WAYNE COUNTY- Reps. Jonathan Fritz (R-Wayne/Susquehanna) and Mike Peifer (R-Wayne/Pike), along with Wayne County elected officials and community leaders, joined together in making a compelling plea to Gov. Tom Wolf requesting due consideration to safely lift the stay-at-home order in the county.

Officials cited the data that supports a move towards reopening. They also highlighted the dedication to ensuring that such a move would be done with the utmost care toward preventing any further COVID-19 spread.

Adding to the urgency to reopen is the reality that businesses are beginning to fail, they said. Rural and seasonal economies are the most vulnerable in times of economic slowdown.

A respectful, but urgent, plea was made to the governor to consider the impact any further delay would have on the county's residents and businesses.
