HARRISBURG - Rep. Todd Polinchock (R-Bucks) today applauded the governor for recognizing real estate is an essential business and people do need housing by allowing the real estate business to reopen in Pennsylvania.

“Although I wish we could have done this as a team, I am grateful that Realtors throughout the Commonwealth can finally help families find homes,” Polinchock said.

House Bill 2412 passed the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate. While the governor did veto the bill, claiming there weren't enough safety protocols for COVID-19 plans, he is instituting the basic concepts of Polinchock’s legislation, House Bill 2412.

“It is a great relief to know that we are giving back the citizens of our state one of the most important necessities they have, one that should never have been taken away in the first place,” Polinchock said.

“Pennsylvania’s housing market, along with many other businesses, have been crippled by this statewide shutdown,” Polinchock said. “This is a major turnaround for our real estate professionals, and the families who that been in need of housing.”
