HARRISBURG – Lancaster County state Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) has been elected to serve as the 141st speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by a unanimous vote.

Rep. Mark Keller (R-Cumberland/Perry) praised the appointment.

“Bryan Cutler will be a phenomenal speaker of the House. In his previous role as majority leader, he provided wisdom and direction as he directed our caucus. He also is known for his willingness to reach across the aisle and build consensus with the minority party,” Keller said.

Keller described Cutler as someone who is compassionate and worthy of respect.

Cutler was sworn in to serve out the term of former Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny), who resigned last week.
