HARRISBURG – Rep. Tracy Pennycuick (R-Montgomery) today announced her appointments to the Commerce, Game and Fisheries, Urban Affairs, and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committees as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
“I am excited by this list of committee assignments, particularly the Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, which will make use of my background in the military and as the director of Veterans Affairs for Montgomery County,” said Pennycuick. “I have a lot of ideas and insights on how we can best help our state’s veterans that I look forward to sharing with the committee.”
The Commerce Committee is responsible for originating legislation and overseeing implementation of programs which affect Pennsylvania companies.
“As a former small business owner, I have a great interest in this committee and the legislative proposals it deals with,” said Pennycuick.
The Game and Fisheries Committee handles legislation impacting the millions of hunters and anglers across the Commonwealth, as well as the lands and waterways used for hunting and fishing.
“In addition, with Montgomery County considered to be a bedroom community of Philadelphia, it also makes sense for me be on the Urban Committee and to have a stake in the legislation that shapes and impacts our large urban cities where many area residents work and recreate,” said Pennycuick.
