HARRISBURG - Rep. Meghan Schroeder (R-Bucks) issued the following statement following Gov. Tom Wolf’s state budget proposal for the 2021-22 fiscal year:

“Our small businesses and middle class have already paid a high price during the shutdowns over the past year,” Schroeder said. “I cannot support penalizing them even more, especially as some are near closure. We must remain responsible with our funding during these times and discourage tax hikes that would harm our working class and small businesses.

“This proposal is untimely, as Pennsylvania ranks in the bottom fifth of states for vaccine dispersion. We must turn the focus to finding a solution to getting the vaccine dosages out faster and more effectively distributing them to the public.”
