HARRISBURG — A bill introduced by Rep. Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny/Washington) which would protect the integrity of the election process, this week passed out of the House State Government Committee.
House Bill 29 would allow poll watchers recruited by a candidate to work in any county where that person is needed and not limited to only the county where the poll watcher resides.
“This bill protects Pennsylvania voters and ensures that poll watchers will be available at more voting places. We need to do all we can to safeguard our electoral process in every election district in the Commonwealth. House Bill 29 amends the Election Code to make that possible,” said Saccone.
The bill is now in the House Rules Committee.
