            WHAT: Teachers who are military members, veterans, or military and veterans’ spouses can encounter challenges in maintaining their state certification due to frequent moves and other obstacles. Reps. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) and Pam DeLissio (D-Montgomery/Philadelphia) will discuss their bipartisan effort to help these individuals who already hold teaching certificates, as well as expediting the application process for military members, veterans and their spouses who are first-time applicants for teacher certification. 
WHO: The representatives will be joined by Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera, Pennsylvania’s Interim Adjutant General Anthony Carrelli, and a military member’s spouse who would benefit from passage of corresponding legislation.
