HARRISBURG – Rep. Gary W. Day (R-Lehigh/Berks), chairman of the House Aging and Older Adults Services Committee, announced the passage of
House Bills 291 and
1260 and
Senate Bills 323 and
668. These bills seek to amend the Pennsylvania State Lottery law to provide further pharmaceutical assistance to older Pennsylvanians.
“Each session, we must extend the PACE and PACENET cost-of-living adjustment moratorium legislation,” said Day. “
Act 95 of 2019 prevented nearly 13,000 seniors across our Commonwealth from losing their prescription benefits. With the expiration of Act 95, it is imperative to move this legislation forward to continue to assist our seniors. With this adjustment, it is projected that over 5,000 older Pennsylvanians will continue to receive the help they need.”
House Bill 291, sponsored by Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks), would amend the Pennsylvania State Lottery law in pharmaceutical assistance for the elderly, further providing for determination of eligibility.
House Bill 1260, sponsored by Rep. Wendi Thomas (R-Bucks), would amended the Pennsylvania State Lottery law in Pharmaceutical Assistance for the Elderly, further providing for the pharmaceutical assistance contract for the elderly needs enhancement tier, for board, for powers of the department and for coordination of benefits.
Senate Bill 323, sponsored by Sen. Judy Ward (R-Blair/Cumberland/Franklin/Fulton/ Huntingdon), would amend the Pennsylvania State Lottery law in pharmaceutical assistance for the elderly, further providing for determination of eligibility.
Senate Bill 668, sponsored by Sen. Judy Ward (R-Blair/Cumberland/Franklin/Fulton/ Huntingdon), would amend the Pennsylvania State Lottery law in pharmaceutical assistance for the elderly, further providing for the Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly Needs Enhancement Tier, for powers of the department and for coordination of benefits.
