HARRISBURG – State Rep. Barry Jozwiak (R-Berks) today voted in the state House to approve a bill that would finish the 2015-16 state budget by providing additional funds for schools, farmers and other state programs and services. After the vote, Jozwiak issued the following statement:
“This budget bill would require no broad-based tax increases while providing essential funding for schools and agricultural programs.
“For the sake of Pennsylvania students and parents, as well as the other families that would benefit from this bill, I urge the governor to sign this legislation into law.
“If the governor fails to sign this bill into law and a school shuts down, Pennsylvanians will know without a doubt that Governor Wolf withheld necessary money from those students.
“The governor can help many Pennsylvania families by signing the budget bill approved today by the state House and Senate. I urge the governor to work with us to bring the current year’s budget process to an end.”
