HARRISBURG – The House of Representative today voted 115-86 on a prudent, balanced state budget which funds core government responsibilities without the need for any broad-based tax increase. Rep. Stephen Bloom (R-Cumberland), who supported the plan, released the following statement in response:
“The House today passed a reasonable, balanced budget plan in response to the overwhelming opposition of Pennsylvania taxpayers to Gov. Tom Wolf’s massive tax-hike scheme. It’s time for the governor and his allies to re-evaluate their plans and get back to work on a fair budget that respects taxpayers instead of catering to the insatiable spending appetites of Harrisburg insiders.”
