HARRISBURG – The governor this week signed legislation into law to amend the Real Estate Licensing and Registration Act (RELRA), Act 9 of 1980, to permit real estate schools which have been approved to provide in-person instruction to also livestream the course, offering it to remote students, said Rep. Todd Polinchock (R-Bucks), who authored the measure.
House Bill 1849 is now
Act 25 of 2022.
“This is not only a win for real estate professionals and the large number of homebuyers seeking their services,” Polinchock said. “This law continues the practice of making life easier for Pennsylvanians by using technology which allows industries to implement permanent waivers that were effective during the pandemic instead of reverting back to past practices just for the sake of doing so.”
“Thank you to my colleagues for taking up this issue. Housing is a necessity, and we just increased its accessibility by making it easier for real estate professionals to help our communities while promoting the lessons learned during the pandemic,” Polinchock said.
