HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) voted in favor of a House resolution this week condemning boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel and growing incidents of anti-Semitism.

House Resolution 370 expresses the state House of Representatives’ support for the existence of Israel and condemns anti-Semitic activities of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, particularly on college campuses in the Commonwealth.

“We have seen growing movements of anti-Semitism throughout the world and our country with the growth of ISIS,” Kaufer said. “This resolution is meaningful to show the world, including the U.S. government and Israel, that the Pennsylvania House of Representatives supports our democratic ally in the Middle East, and will continue to do so for years to come.”

A copy of this resolution will be transmitted to President Barack Obama, the U.S. Congress and the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.
