WHO: House State Government Committee Majority Chairman, Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler), will convene a voting meeting to consider two pieces of legislation that would make union collective bargaining agreement negotiations more transparent to the public.

WHAT: Sponsored by Sen. Mike Folmer (R-Lebanon/Dauphin/York), Senate Bill 644 would require the Independent Fiscal Office to provide a cost analysis for the current and five subsequent fiscal years of the impact for each proposed collective bargaining agreement under the jurisdiction of the governor prior to execution. Sponsored by Sen. Patrick Stefano (R-Fayette/Somerset/Westmoreland), Senate Bill 645 would require that a public employer provide public notice prior to signing a proposed collective bargaining agreement.
