WHAT: The House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter), will hold an informational meeting to discuss highly pathogenic avian influenza and the state’s preparations for the possibility of the disease impacting poultry producers in Pennsylvania.
WHO: Causer, members of the committee and the following speakers: Dr. Sherrill Davison, New Bolton Center poultry veterinarian; Chris Pierce, president of Heritage Poultry Management Services Inc., Annville; and state Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding.
