WHAT: The House Children and Youth Committee, led by Rep. Kathy Watson (R-Bucks/144th), will hold a voting meeting to consider House Bill 1742, which would bring clarity to parents’ decisions about child care through the Keystone Stars child care rating system. Essentially, the bill would require all centers to post on their public-facing window (and website, if they have one) how many stars their center has out of four. The measure is sponsored by Rep. Tom Mehaffie (R-Dauphin).
