Public Hearing on Law Enforcement Recruitment, Retention

WHAT: House Republican Policy Committee Chairman David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata), Rep. Eric Weaknecht (R-Berks), and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “Protecting Pennsylvania: Law Enforcement Recruitment and Retention” to examine the factors driving law enforcement workforce challenges and explore practical policy solutions to strengthen the law enforcement pipeline.

WHO: Testifiers will include Brett Forry, chief of police, Bern Township Police Department; Daniel Zeigler, sheriff of Carbon County, Pennsylvania Sheriffs’ Association; Christopher King, lieutenant colonel, Pennsylvania State Police; Brooke Meade, special assistant, Pennsylvania State Police; and Greg Rowe, senior counsel, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
