HARRISBURG -- Rep. Warren Kampf (R-Montgomery/Chester) has been appointed to the influential House Appropriations Committee for the 2015-16 legislative session

The House Appropriations Committee is critical in considering the annual budget by weighing all bills that involve state spending.

“This is a great honor and carries an enormous responsibility in shaping our state’s economic policies,” Kampf said.

As a member of the committee, Kampf, who began his third term this month, will consider the budget blueprint that will be presented by Gov. Tom Wolf in March. He will also consider budget alternatives from the legislature.

Kampf was also reappointed to the House Liquor Control, Consumer Affairs, and Urban Affairs committees.

“As a member of the Liquor Control Committee, I remain committed to privatizing the state’s antiquated liquor sales system,” Kampf said.
