Causer to Serve on PA House Transportation Committee
October 9, 2026
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) has been appointed to serve as a member of the state House Transportation Committee for the remainder of the 2025-26 legislative session.
“The rural perspective is sorely needed in conversations about roads and bridges and our Commonwealth’s overall plan to shore up our transportation infrastructure,” Causer said. “I appreciate the opportunity to serve on this key committee and hope to direct more investment to rural communities like the ones I represent.”
The House Transportation Committee deals with policies impacting roads and bridges, as well as mass transit, rail issues, bicycles/motorcycles, airports and more.
The Commonwealth has more than 120,000 linear miles of highways and more than 25,400 state-owned bridges, which is the third-highest number of bridges in the country, all negatively impacted by wear and tear, as well as wide fluctuations in seasonal temperatures.
In addition to his new role on the Transportation Committee, Causer will continue to serve as chairman of the House Energy Committee.
