HARRISBURG- Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) was sworn in for his 14th term as state representative for the 94th Legislative District on Tuesday. In taking the oath of office, Saylor will serve another two-year term representing the residents of York County.
“It is humbling to have once again earned the trust and support from the people in southeastern York County,” Saylor said. “It is a privilege to represent our area in Harrisburg on important issues such as job creation, fiscal responsibility and maintaining a great education system.”
In addition to representing the people of the 94th district, Saylor will begin his second term as the majority chairman of the House Appropriations Committee for the 2019-20 legislative session. As majority chairman, Saylor is responsible for leading the Republican Caucus in crafting the annual state budget.
“This past legislative session our caucus lead on fiscal responsibility and reforming the way Pennsylvania approaches the state budget,” Saylor said.
“Whether it was stopping the governor’s attempts to raise taxes, enacting performance-based budgeting, or investing more money in our career and technical education system, the House Republican Caucus has stood as a defender of taxpayers throughout Pennsylvania. The people of Pennsylvania want a government that lives within its means and I intend to provide that. My focus will be creating a budget centered on economic growth for better job and career opportunities and setting Pennsylvania up for success in the long-term.”
The 94th Legislative District includes the townships of Peach Bottom, Lower Chanceford, Chanceford, Windsor, Lower Windsor, Springettsbury and the boroughs of Delta, East Prospect, Felton, Yorkana, Red Lion and Windsor.
