HARRISBURG – Rep. Tim O’Neal (R-Washington) has been appointed by Chairman Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Butler/Indiana) to serve as secretary of the House Liquor Control Committee during the 2019-20 Legislative Session.
“I am honored to be named to this extra role in only my first full term in office,” O’Neal said. “As secretary of the House Liquor Control Committee, I look forward to having a greater responsibility in preventing underage drinking and further privatizing the sale of alcohol in the Commonwealth. We need to further open up opportunities for consumers and businesses.”
The Liquor Control Committee is responsible for issues relating to the administration of alcoholic beverage licenses and the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages.
The 48th Legislative District in Washington County includes the city of Washington; Chartiers, North Franklin, North Strabane and South Strabane townships; and Canonsburg, East Washington and Houston boroughs.
