HARRISBURG – Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) issued the following statement in response to Gov. Tom Wolf’s budget proposal:

“I appreciated the theme of working together that marked this year’s budget address. Specifically, I was pleased to hear that Gov. Wolf did not propose any broad-based tax increases, and that he is focused on streamlining government along with job creation. I hope his commentary is not just re-election rhetoric, but an honest attempt to cut the bureaucratic red tape that scares away businesses and represents a shift in the culture of his administration that places this Commonwealth on a healthy fiscal path. I am hopeful that our children can begin to see real opportunity, not discouragement in our state’s future.”
