Feb. 02, 2018

WHAT: The House Insurance Committee, led by Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna), will hold a voting meeting on three bills designed to improve cost transparency (House Bill 1851) and enhance the competitiveness of the insurance market (Senate Bills 877 and 878). House Bill 1851 would assist the General Assembly in evaluating the true cost of the department’s mandated oversight responsibilities, while Senate Bills 877 and 878 would allow insurers and producers to offer small incentives to get consumers to consider purchases. This would modernize these laws to allow reasonable, practical marketing in a competitive field without jeopardizing the pricing integrity of insurance.

WHO: Pickett and members of the Insurance Committee.

WHEN: Monday, Feb. 5, 11 a.m.

WHERE: 60 East Wing, Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.

LIVE WEBSTREAMING: The meeting will be streamed live at PAHouseGOP.com and RepPickett.com.
