WHAT: The Pennsylvania Council for American Private Education (PACAPE) has selected House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) as its School Choice Champion Award winner on behalf of Pennsylvania private schools. For the last five years, PACAPE has presented one legislator with the School Choice Champion Award for his or her support of school choice throughout his or her career.
WHO: Turzai, along with officials from the Association of Christian Schools International, Pennsylvania Catholic Conference, Northeast Region of Agudath Israel, Jewish Orthodox Union, Pennsylvania American Montessori Society, and the Friends Council on Education.
WHEN: Thursday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m.
