WHAT: State lawmakers from across Pennsylvania will participate in a legislative hearing to gather testimony from Berks County small business owners. Led by House Majority Policy Committee Chairman Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) and Rep. Jim Cox (R-Berks/Lancaster), testifiers will focus on how state government can help small businesses succeed, and the challenges job creators face when dealing with state agencies, complex regulations and cumbersome processes.
The hearing is part of the Policy Committee’s agenda to grow and strengthen Pennsylvania’s middle class. Over the course of several hearings this fall, the committee will hear from Pennsylvania residents, community leaders and businesses on how state government can best assist them, and when to get out of their way, as they undertake efforts to create jobs and improve, prosper and strengthen our communities.

Testifiers will include: Gail Landis, Greater Reading Chamber; Don Rongione, Bollman Hat Company; Conor Delaney, Good Life Advisors; Kandi Moser, Bilco Safety; Clark Bisbee, Little Caesars; and Jeff Schatz, Schatz Electric.
